On the third day of Christmas my true gave to me… three french hens
This gift of three birds represents the Theological Virtues which are faith, hope and love. St. Paul speaks of them in his first letter to the Corinthians (1 Cor 13: 13) and he says the greatest of these is love. These beautiful hens may also remind us of the three gifts brought by the Magi to honour baby Jesus. Gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Prayer
As an act of love Lord, I ask for your guidance and protection throughout all the things I do and say this week. Amen
