Drop of life

Hi kids!

If you had to go out in the desert, you will see why it is difficult to live there.  It is dry and where there is no water there is no life.

Sometimes we chose to live in the desert.  This happens when we think we know it all, we sin and move away from God.  God wants to rescue us.  God the Father sent his son Jesus so that when we go to him, we are filled with the Holy Spirit. We will be filled with life. 

When we are filled with God’s life and so with the Holy Spirit, we will become like little streams of love and joy, patience and kindness, gentleness and self-control and so will be able to create beautiful things in the world around us.  

The prayer space we are going to do today and with those who share our same household is called: –Drop of Life and to do it we need: –

• A water-drop template
• A small piece of paper
• Glue or sticky tape.  
• Straw
• Markers and colours
• Scissors

Take some time to think how you feel when you are living in the desert and feeling thirsty. 

On a water drop template draw some face features to remind you that with the Holy Spirit you can bring life to everyone and you can speak to.

On a small paper write or draw a prayer asking God to fill you with the power of the Holy Spirit so that you can become a drop of life to those who will meet you.

Say this prayer to God in your heart.

A pause gathered in prayer.

Glue this drop and small paper to a straw and place it somewhere so it can remind you to be a little stream of love and joy, patience and kindness, gentleness, and self-control.
