Hi kids,
Sometimes you can feel weighed down with your worries which can slow you down or even stop you from enjoying the good things in life. Worrying can also make you feel sick and alone. This is why it is good to share your feelings and anxieties with a person who can help you. You can also speak to God who will always understand and care for you. He will take away your worries to give you peace.
This prayer space is called Bag of Worries.
You will need:
- A bag or rucksack
- Heavy items such as books or stones, objects that represent your worries (not too heavy)
- Place the heavy objects which represent your worries in the rucksack or bag.
- Lift the bag up or place the rucksack on your back.
- As you do so, think about the problems, situations or worries which you have at the moment.
- Place the bag or rucksack on the floor and imagine you are putting your worries aside.
- What do you think might help you let go of your worries?
- If you want, speak to God about your worries and ask Him to help you.
