Be merciful

Prayer Spaces at Home and a Prayer for mercy

Hi Kids!

Today we shall be going back to remember again a major event that happened in our Maltese Islands. What am I referring to? Do you know? I think that some of you are answering…. that’s right! Pope Francis’ visit to Malta. Pope Francis shared with us meaningful messages, especially during his meeting with the immigrants at Peace Lab in Ħal-Far. The Pope says: “Mercy: the bridge that unites both God and man, opens our hearts to the hope of being loved even when we commit sin.”

Today’s Prayer Space is called: Be merciful.

One needs:

  • a white paper
  • colours
  • marker
  • pen or pencil
  • jar

Find a quiet corner outside (ex. on the roof, balcony, yard etc…).  Glimpse at the sky for some time and think of ways how you can show mercy. On a piece of paper draw a cloud, (or use the attached template), and in it write down acts of love you would like to do in the coming week. Remember that you are carrying out this act of love only for God. Place the cloud in a jar. Keep the jar in a place where it is easily seen to help you reflect frequently on God’s mercy towards you and to pass on this mercy to others around you.

Bye-bye Kids!

Till we meet again.

How to use this space
