Hello children,
We are enjoying the last days of this festive Christmas season. Many of us enjoyed the beautiful, colourful lights with which we decorate our homes and streets. How do you feel when there is a power cut? Moments of blackout help us to appreciate the importance of light in our life.
This prayers space is called Light in the Dark.

The 4th of January coincides with the birthday of Louis Braille, a French educator who lived in the nineteenth century. Louis lost his sight when he was three years old in an unfortunate accident. Like many children, he used to go to school and wanted to do well in his studies, but unfortunately, there wasn’t much help for students who were blind. When Louis was a student in Secondary School, he invented the Braille system, which enables a blind person to read and write and is still used to this very day.
Take a look at the Braille alphabet on the handout/online. Now, on the other handout, there is a hidden message written in Braille. Under each Braille letter, write the letter of our alphabet to find out the hidden message.
Think of someone who is visually impaired. How can you help him/her? In what ways?
In a quiet moment, read this message and offer God all you thought about and felt while carrying out this activity.
Bye bye! Till we meet again.
