Patience

Prayer Spaces at Home and a Prayer for patience

Hi Kids!

Have you ever heard someone relating a difficult situation in his/her life that took a long time to be solved? Maybe your grandparents or great grandparents shared their experiences during World War Two which lasted six years from 1939 to 1945; a person who waited long to undergo an operation to heal from pain. Maybe when we’ve been waiting in a long queue and it took a long until we were served, and other situations where waiting is needed. In these situations, patience is necessary for the individual, and sometimes it is not easy.

This Prayer Space is called: Patience.

One needs:

  • Images or photos of difficult situations
  • Sand clock (if it is impossible to find one, you can search for an online one)

Choose a picture and glance at it for some minutes. Now think of this:

  1. How do you think the people in the image are feeling?
  2. Is there any situation in your life at the moment that is taking longer to settle down, things changing for the better?
  3. Turn the sand clock, and while looking at the sand going down slowly make a wish to God in silence so that people who are passing through identical situations, strengthen themselves in the virtue of patience.

Bye-bye Kids

Until we meet again.
