On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… two turtledoves

The two doves represent the Old and the New Testaments. These are the two parts of the Bible. In the Bible we can read all about God’s plan for the world, it is called the history of Salvation.It is important for us to read the Bible because it is the Word of God. It is like a road map for us to follow all through our lives.

Prayer

Let us pray today on the feast of St. Stephen for all the people in the world who suffer and die for their faith, that they may be comforted by God’s great love and compassion. Amen
