Seeds on good soil

Prayer Spaces at Home and Morning prayer

Have ever been walking in the countryside, and met a farmer sowing his fields? Or maybe you’ve been to your grandfather’s field and you planted seeds together?

Jesus explains that one day a farmer went out to sow, and as he sowed, some seeds fell on good soil. This seed that fell on good soil, represents those people who listen to the world of God, accept it, and share it with others.  Through this they bear fruit, some few, and some plenty.

In prayer space, called ‘A Seed in Good Ground.’ One needs:
– Seeds, pot, soil and some water.
– Take a seed, and hold it for a while in your hands.

While keeping the seed in your hands and looking at it, think of all that, that God would like to plant in your heart, like for example joy, courage, love.

Now plant the seed in the pot by putting it a centimetre away from the soil surface, and water it. Keep watering it when it looks dry.

Each time you water the seed, pray that God will help you to nurture the Seed of the Word in your heart and in your life, by listening to the Word of God, planting it in your heart and deliver it to others. In that way, you bear too much fruit.

Morning Prayer

Oh my God, I adore You and I love You with all my heart.
I thank You for having created me, having saved me
by Your Grace and for having preserved me during the night.
I offer You all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings this day.

Grant that they may be all according to Your will and
for Your greater glory.
Keep me from all sin and evil and may Your Grace be
with me always and with those I love.

Amen.
