Physical exercise keeps your body and mind healthy. Exercise is also good for your spiritual life because it improves your breathing, concentration, self-control and determination so that you can pray better.
This prayer space is called Fitness Prayers.
You will need:
- A sports mat or towel
- sports equipment of your choice for example tennis racket, ball, resistance bands, weights, skipping rope, punching bag and punching gloves etc.
- Warm-up: Walk, jog on the spot, do shoulder rows and knee lifts slowly. Breathe deeply while you thank God for being alive and healthy.
- Main workout: Choose your favourite sports equipment or do push-ups, lunges, squats and other exercises. Ask God to be with you in your daily activities.
- Cooling-down: Lie down on your sports mat or towel. Breathe deeply in and out. Do a bending and stretching exercise. Praise God for your wonderful body. Relax and feel safe in His hands.
