Apple Trinity

Hi kids,

To understand the mystery of the Holy Trinity, we can examine an apple. Although an apple consists of the skin, the flesh and the core, it is still one apple. In the same way, the Holy Trinity is one God in three different and unique persons: the Father, the Son and the  Holy Spirit. The Holy Trinity encourages us to build a loving relationship with God and to follow Him through His Word and His teachings. 

For this activity you will need:

• A large apple split in half on a paper plate 
• Apple shaped cards with Bible quotations in a bag or container

Instructions:

• Make the sign of the cross slowly and be aware of your movements and that you are praying to the Holy Trinity.
• Sit near the plant and take the apple in your hands. Touch the skin, flesh and core. 
• Take the apple cards which are marked THE FATHER, the SON and the HOLY SPIRIT. Read the quotations at the back of each card and praise God for His power, love and mercy. 
• Finish by honouring and worshipping the Blessed Trinity by reciting the GLORY BE slowly and meaningfully.
• Eat your apple and enjoy it.
