Calm down

Prayer Spaces at Home and a Prayer to strengthen my faith

Hi kids!

How many times we experienced days full of activities one after another, and we worry that it will be impossible to catch up with everything. In the morning,we go to school, then music lessons, afterwards practising a sport, later we start thinking how we will be carrying out the school homework. We need also to find time for recreation and to watch a TV programm. From an activity to another, and we do not manage to find some time to calm down. Like the disciples in today’s gospels, our minds think only about storms we might encounter and we start feeling confused. After all, we realize that Jesus is with us. We calm down naturally and realize that we achieved in everything in our plan!

Today’s Prayer Space is called: Calm Down

Equipment needed:

  • sun, sea and storm template
  • crayons
  • paper boat
  • popsicle stick
  • scissors

Colour the sun, sea and storm template while thinking of fear. What am I afraid of?

On the boat write your fears, and stick the popsicle stick with the boat. Make a slit in the sea template and through it pass the boat (your fear), from the storm to the sun, the clear sky (to Jesus).

Say a small prayer, asking Jesus to strengthen your faith in him.

Bye bye kids! Until we meet again.
