The greatest commandment for Jesus is Love. Nothing can be more important than loving God above all and loving others as oneself. This commandment is very challenging for it may seem easy to say that we Love God but do we really Love him?
Our love for God is as much as our love towards our neighbour. Neighbour includes every single person and not just the people we know and like but also others of different races, religions or families including also those we dislike.
The prayer space we are going to do today is called Centigrades of Love and to do it we need:
- A thermometer template
- Biros or markers
Take some time to think when you love others including those who hurt you or hurt someone dear to you.
Take a 5-second pause.
Think of the least person you love on Earth. On the Thermometer template, mark how much you truly love this person. Take a look at your mark. This shows you how much you really love God.
Now you can proceed by talking to God about the centigrades of love you are truly giving Him when you are loving your neighbour.
