Clear out

Prayer Spaces at Home and A prayer for clarity

Hi kids!

Oh my what a hassle!  My best friend Daniel is coming over to my house unexpectedly and my room is full of clutter,  clothes scattered all around and messed up things and papers.

Did this ever happen to you?  To make matters worse, my mother lost her temper and while sorting my things out she asked me loudly;  “Don’t you feel ashamed of yourself knowing that your friend has to find himself room in all this mess?”

The prayer space we are going to do today (and with those who share our same household) is called: Clear Out and to do it we need:

  • Some rough papers or pieces of cereal or tea boxes.

Start to think of the junk and clutter you need to clear out in the temple of your heart where God lives.

5 second  pause.

Write down or draw these junk things, thoughts and actions which you need to throw away to make place for God in your heart and in your life.

After crushing and throwing away these papers, ask God to help you find the courage to clear out and provide a Sacred Space for God in your heart.

A 10 second pause gathered in prayer.

Bye Bye Friends till we meet again.

How to use this space

God speaks to us in many ways, including through prayer at home. Here you will find useful background and activities to better understand how to pray, helping you to connect with God in your daily life in a meaningful way.
