Prayer Spaces at Home and a Prayer for variety and unity

Hello kids!

The 23rd of September marks the international day of sign language, while the 26th of September is the European day of languages. On both days we celebrate different ways of communication, ways to discuss and diagloue with those around us u hence we grow.

Although we have different languages we are still all brothers and sisters and so one family.

Today’s prayer space is called Common Tongue and we need internet access, blank page and colours.

Start off by writing the word “unity” in the middle. Then using the internet start looking for “unity” in different languages for example ‘għaqda’ in Maltese, ‘unità’ in Italian, ‘einheit’ in German. Write these words around the word ‘unity’ in different colours and decorate the paper as much as you can.

Once ready, put the paper somewhere to remind you that we are all brothers and sisters and should always live in unity.

Gather your thoughts and in the silence of your heart thank God for the beautiful variety there is around us – variety in countries, cultures, and languages.

Bye bye kids! Until we meet again!
