Even nowadays, there a number of children who are suffering. Do you know that…

  • there are children who are being stolen, purchased and separated from their families?
  • that these children are being used by criminals to earn money through them?
  • not only children! There are adults who find themselves working in hardship conditions u they find difficulties to find another job.
  • all over the world there are hundred countries where slave trade is permissible. Among these countries were slave trade takes place are India, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh and North Korea.
  • in these countries there are twenty-eight million people who are slaves.

The 23rd of August is the remembrance of Slave Trade and its Abolition. This international day saw its beginning in the United States where a great number of Africans of every age, who were sold as slaves, were released. As from the year 1865, slave trades in the United States became illegal.

However, currently, millions of people are still slaves and passing through suffering.
