Day 5

Today we are adding: the doves and pigeons

Think about it:

Have you ever visited a farm or a stable? Where there any doves and pigeons? These fly around, looking for shelter. Most probably, in the stable where Jesus was born, there were some doves and pigeons too! There are many people in the world, looking for a place of shelter. Some even travel to other countries because of poverty or war in their countries of origin. In Malta, we have a good number of these people who had to leave their countries and came to live in Malta.

Family time:

Search the internet to learn about the immigrants in Malta and the help given by the Jesuits and others, visit here.

Ask: “If we could no longer live in Malta because of war and had to go to another country, how would we like the children in the new school we went to, behave towards us?”

Prayer:

Although you were still very young, Jesus, even you had to run away with Mary and Joseph, and go to live in Egypt, because Herod wanted to kill you. I want to pray for all those people who have to leave their homes and go to live in another country. I pray that they find people who help them.
