Today we are looking at our first personage : the innkeeper’s wife

Think about it:

Just imagine how sorry the innkeeper’s wife was when she had to turn Mary and Joseph away because there was no room for them! Do you think that she did nothing else, apart from leading them to the stable? Do you think she did something else to help Mary and Joseph? What did she do?

Today we celebrate the feast of St Nicholas. This saint is known for his abundant and generous help.

Prayer:

Dear Jesus, you know, that it is difficult for us to help others, without expecting anything in return. You told us that what we do to others, we are doing to you. Help us to remember this, whenever we are finding it difficult to offer our help. Help us see you in those who need our help.

Let’s do it!

Make a promise in front of mummy and daddy, that you will give one of your Christmas presents to the children in need. Every parish has a Diaconia Commission, which helps families in need. If you pass on this gift to them, it will be given to a child who received little or no gifts.
