Grow the plant

Prayer Spaces at Home and a Prayer for all Church leaders

Hi Kids!

Have you ever had an experience where you met a famous person, someone who plays a significant role, a leader? Indeed, it was a remarkable moment conversing with this person! Saint Ignatius of Antioch, whose feast day in the Western Church falls on the 17th of October, was the bishop of Antioch, a city in Syria, nowadays Turkey.

When he used to take care of the people of God in Antioch, Ignatius passed through such suffering circumstances while passing on Christ’s message. Nowadays, this is the role of the Archbishop and other leaders who, in the footsteps of the apostles, preach and forward Jesus’ message and values even if encountering difficulties from other people.

Today’s prayer space is:

Grow the Plant

Equipment needed:

  • pot
  • soil
  • a type of plant
  • water
  • a strip of coloured paper

Sow the plant by first putting the soil in the pot, embed the plant and add more soil.  While watering the plant, think about the bishops of Malta and Gozo, the priests and other Church leaders who support us to become better persons.

If you would like to, on coloured paper, write “Grow the Plant” and stick it on the pot. Place the plant in place you come across often and pray continuously for our bishops and spiritual leaders.

Bye bye kids! Until we meet again.
