Prayer Spaces at Home and A prayer during COVID-19

The invitation to the kingdom of heaven is open to all, yet we are free to say yes or no. Accepting it means that we are all called to live out in our lives and in our relationships, what we claim to believe in. Only in this way, we will not be thrown into the darkness like the man of the parable who was not wearing a wedding robe.

Unfortunately sometimes we refuse this invitation and treat God’s messengers very badly even though we know of Our Father’s goodness and mercy. During this praying time we can think of the immense hospitality of the King of the parable: ‘Go therefore into the main streets, and invite everyone you find,’ he says. This is God’s attitude to everyone on earth.

God is sending you an invitation to the party of love between him, you and every human being, through various ways, including those who are dear to you and who love you.

The prayer space we are going to do today is called RSVP, and to do it we need:

  • An invitation template
  • Biro

As one can read in the invitation, this party will last a lifetime and takes place wherever you may go.  For this party you may put on one of the following outfits: love, forgiveness, justice, joy, hope, compassion, resilience and humility.

Take some time to think about this invitation and about which outfit you intend to choose from those listed in the invitation.

On the invitation, write your name next to the letters RSVP to show God that you want to accept his invitation.  Then mark with a circle the outfit you would like to wear from those suggested in the invitation.

Keep on chatting with God about what you want to wear apart from your fabric outfits which will show that you want to party and celebrate Love with God.

How to use this space

God speaks to us in many ways, including through prayer at home. Here you will find useful background and activities to better understand how to pray, helping you to connect with God in your daily life in a meaningful way.
