We read
Matthew 13, 31-32
He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”
We pray
Dear Lord, help me to remember that each time I tell someone about Jesus I am helping to grow your Kingdom, each one of us is important no matter how big or small we are. Amen
We live
In today’s reading we heard how the mustard seed is the smallest of all seeds, yet it can grow into a large tree.
Do you like to be praised and thanked for things that you do?
Today do small things for others, put your things in their place, set the table, dry the dishes, feed your pets, without being asked. What else can you do? Today we fast from expecting praise!
