Prayer Spaces at Home and a Prayer for our pets

Hi Kids!

Certainly you’ve heard different animal sounds, like a dog barking, a bird whistling or a mosquito rattling. Animals are part of God’s creation. God gave man the mission to take care of the animals and of all of his creation.

Children who hold a pet surely are familiar of what it entails when taking care of a cat, a dog, a bird or a fish. On the 1st of October we celebrate the feast of St Therese of Lisieux. Her family used to raise a brown dog called Tom. Therese together with her sisters used to take care of him, by feeding him and taking him for walks.

Today’s Prayer Space is called:

Bow Wow Snuggly Tom. Equipment needed

  • animals handout
  • handout 2
  • pen or pencil

Imagine you are in a zoo or farm and while looking at the different  animals in the handout, think which animal would you associate yourself with? Why? On the handout “I associate myself with…”, write your choice and why.

Write or draw a thank you prayer to God for creating animals,  for  he choosing us to take care of them, as well to learn from them.

Bye bye friends!

Until we meet again
