Door and sheep

Prayer Spaces at Home and a Prayer to show me the way

Hello Kids! How are you?

Surely there were times when while doing our homework, we feel hungry all of a sudden. Then we stop from what we are doing and make our way to the kitchen to find something to nibble. But as we reach the kitchen we find the kitchen door closed.

What do you think would you do? Do you open the door or leave it closed? If you open it you enter the kitchen and you will be able to eat something, but if you decide to keep the door closed, you will not taste and eat anything!

Jesus compares himself with the door of a sty and as the pigs pass through this door to enter where the shepherd leads them, likewise we are to meet and get to know Jesus to find the way to God the Father.

Today’s Prayer Space is called: Door and Sheep

One needs:

  • a template of a door
  • a lamb template
  • an A4 cardboard sheet
  • glue
  • crayons
  • pen or pencil
  • scissors

Write your name on the lamb model, and on the door model write: “Jesus is the door that leads me to God.” If you would like to on the door you may write on the door a name of a person who is a model for you in your life.

Open the door with your hands and pass the lamb through it. While doing this, spare a small prayer to God to help you to be a person that knows how to love and to take care of those around you. Stick the lamb close the door and if you want you can stick them together on the cardboard sheet. Place it near the kitchen door to remember to help you to remember to love everyone.

Bye Bye kids! Until we meet again!
