From where to where?

Prayer Spaces at Home and a Prayer to reach my goals

Hi kids!

Have you ever been going through family photos and you see a photo when you were a baby? Or a photo from your baptism and you also see how different your parents and godparents were?

When the people saw Jesus teaching, they realised how much he has grown from a child and how much knowledge and intelligence he has acquired.

The Prayer Space we are going to do is called From Where to Where? For this prayer space we need:

  • a blank paper – white or coloured,
  • a baby photo of you,
  • a recent photo
  • glue
  • pen or marker.

Stick the baby photo with one side of the paper in landscape, then stick the recent one in the middle. On the other side put a question mark, as we do not know how we are going to look in the coming years. Between the baby photo and the recent one, write down everything that changed or you gained along this time, example: grew taller, changed school, started practising a sport or an instrument. You can also ask your parents or guardians for those stories that took place during those years of your life.

Between the recent photo and the question mark, write down all that you would like to acquire in the future.

Few moments of pause.

Thank God for all the changes and the growth that took place and ask for his help to continue growing and reaching your goals, especially in being a better friend to Jesus.

Bye bye friends, until we meet again.

How to use this space

God speaks to us in many ways, including through prayer at home. Here you will find useful background and activities to better understand how to pray, helping you to connect with God in your daily life in a meaningful way.
