His child

Prayer Spaces at Home and A prayer for students

Hi kids!

During this praying time, Jesus  wants us to know that God is always generous to us.  God’s love can never be earned.  God’s love is already there for everyone.   He loves us because we are his children. It depends on us to accept it by opening our hearts to God  and say  ‘yes’ when he calls us.

God  goes beyond being just to us.  He  wants to give us his unconditional love even if we take long to  say our ‘Yes’ to Him.  His compassion  is  unmeasurable.  He is ready to give us all we need not just what we deserve.

We are too invited to  show compassion, love others unconditionally and rejoice at the gifts others have.

Now we are going to continue our prayer while we do the prayer space entitled His Child.  For this prayer space we need:

  • A small mirror
  • Pen or markers
  • Sticky note

Start by taking some time to think of good deeds which you did lately.

Write down or draw a few of these good deeds on a sticky note and when you are ready stick this sticky note onto the backside of the mirror.

When you are ready take a look at the mirror.  Stop and remind yourself  that this is the way God looks and you and loves you.  Thank God for loving you for who you are- as his child not for what you were capable of doing.

Dear Jesus, you who promise to be with me always, I pray that you would be with me today as I go to school. Bless my going and my coming. Bless my learning and my playing. Please protect my heart from fear. Please keep me safe. Please give me good friends. Give me joy this day, and thank you for loving me from head to toe. In your name. Amen.
