I am a seed

Prayer Spaces at Home and a Prayer to thank God for our talents

Hi kids!

Have you ever had a school school project? Do you remember how from a two word title you managed to find information and images? Through the information and images, then, you created the whole project on a scrapbook or paperboard. Thus the title now has a different meaning and not just a two word phrase.

Jesus uses this same dynamic when explaining and comparing the Kingdom of God with a mustard seed. In today’s Gospel, Jesus teaches us that although the mustard seed is really small, when planted in the soil, it becomes the greatest among all the vegetables and the birds build their nests in its strong branches.

Today’s prayer space is: I Am A Seed and we need the following equipment:

  • mp3 sounds of birds whistling
  • five seeds (any type of seeds will do)
  • template of a bird’s nest
  • pen or pencil
  • glue

Take the five seeds in your hands and while you give them a glance, think of five positive characteristics or talents you have.

Attach the seeds on the nest template and underneath every seed, write your characteristics or talents.

Spare a small prayer to God asking him to give you strength to do your best to help others benefit from your talents/characteristics.

A pause gathered in prayer.

Bye Bye Friends till we meet again.
