Instrument in God’s hands

Prayer Spaces at Home and a Prayer for peace and harmony

As we know some of us are studying music to learn to play musical instruments like pianoforte, guitar, violin or flute. Or maybe if we do not play any kind of instrument, we surely attended an event, a concert, where we listened to and saw an orchestra or a band playing. Although they have different sounds and are of different sizes, the instruments together make beautiful harmony and make happy all those watching and listening.

Today’s prayer space is called:  Instrument in God’s Hands

One needs:

• A musical instrument. (If one knows how to play an instrument, he/she can use his instrument; if one does not know how to play a musical instrument one can use a toy one or search for someone playing an instrument on the internet)

• a plain paper

• pen, pencil or colours

Play a short piece with your instrument or listen to someone playing an instrument. Now, stop playing and in a quiet moment think of ways how you can be an instrument of joy, love, forgiveness, hope, or light in God’s hands. (choose one or two).  Write, draw or paint the situations on paper and offer them to God. If we strive to do good, God will be playing through us a beautiful harmony.
