Moon reflection

Prayer Spaces at Home and a Prayer to reflect God's light

Hi kids!

Have you ever wondered from where the moon gets its light? Every time we gaze at the Moon, we appreciate the ability of the Moon to radiate the Sun’s light. Like the Moon, we are called to reflect the only true light of the world – God’s light.  We can do this by following the example of St John the Baptist. The apostle St John describes St John the Baptist writes in his gospel, “He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.” John 1:6

Like him we are invited to show everyone how good and merciful our God is.

The prayer space we are going to do today is called – Moon Reflection and to do it we need:

  • A torch or a desk lamp
  • A ball of foil
  • Take some time to think of how you can reflect God’s light in what you say and/or do in your daily life.
  • Take a piece of foil and roll it in a ball.
  • Now take the torch and flesh its light onto this foil ball.
  • See how the foil reflects the light it receives from the torchlight.

Now, you can ask God to help you so that in whatever you think, do or say you reflect His love.

Bye Bye Friends till we meet again.
