Prayer Spaces at Home and a Prayer for peace and solidarity

Did you know that every 4 years the Olympics take place?

The Olympics started in Greece and their aim is that through sport we build a world of peace and solidarity. This peace and solidarity is also transmitted in the Olympics’ flag which is white with 5 interlocking coloured  circles,

The five circles represent the five continents and the colours represent the colours found in the world’s flags. Every flag in the world has at least one colour from the 5 circles.

This Prayer Space is called Olympic rings. For this Prayer Space we need:

  • the Olympics flag template
  • pen or marker
  • colours
  1. In the first circle of the template write a prayer for your family,
  2. In the second circle write a prayer for friends,
  3. In the third circle write a prayer for the communities to belong to – schools, museum, football, scouts, ect
  4. In the fourth circle pray for our country or a country that is going through troubles,
  5. And in the last circle pray for yourself – for something that you like.

Pause for some seconds

Gather your thoughts and read the prayer you wrote, and see if you would like to add anything.

Bye bye friends, until we meet again.
