The widow’s mite

We read

Luke 21, 1-4  

As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”

We pray

Dear God, all that we have comes from Your great love. Help me to remember to give back to You with a cheerful heart. Amen   

We live

The widow gave all she had. Jesus is not expecting us to give all we have, but he wants us to give from what we have and to share with others. 

Today give money to charity, you may also consider giving a favourite toy to children in need.
