Think good thoughts

Prayer Spaces at Home and a Prayer for positive thoughts

Think Good Thoughts

The way we think about ourselves, other people and the events in our life affects the way we feel and behave. Bad, negative thoughts make us complain and feel sad or helpless. It is not easy to be hopeful when you are faced with a difficult situation but thinking positive thoughts and looking on the bright side of life gives you more control so you can improve and make yourself and your life better.

This prayer space is called Think Good Thoughts.

You will need:

  • A blank sheet of paper or a smiley face template.
  • Black and bright coloured markers
  • Pen or pencil
  • Take a blank sheet of paper (or use the template) and draw two columns. In the first column, think of those situations which made you feel sad and hopeless about yourself and about life. Write down these negative thoughts and draw a sad face near each one.
  • Think of how you can turn these negative thoughts into positive ones. Write them down and near each one draw a smiley face.
  • Thank God for the help He gives us and ask Him to help you to be positive especially when life is difficult.
