We are citizens of Heaven and Earth. We have duties towards God, towards each other, towards the worldly leaders and towards the rest of the Creation.
The Holy Scriptures remind us that we can be good citizens by first serving God. For example, it is our duty as Christians to pay taxes since in this way we will show that it is better to have a properly run state than to have anarchy. This is because in anarchy there will be no responsible leaders and humans live in chaos and disorder. God works through human institutions to build a community of love.
The prayer space we are going to do today is called Us Citizens and to do it we need:
- A map template of your country
- Biros or markers
Take some time to think of ways how you can love God in all that you say or do and be a good citizen.

On the map template provided, write a prayer for your country and for all the citizens to do all they can so that everyone will be able to live the basic human rights and needs.
