On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me… seven swans a swimming
These seven swans represent the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit. These gifts are found in the book of the prophet Isaiah 11:2. The Holy Spirit gives us these gifts at our Confirmation, the gifts are Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, Counsel, Fortitude, Piety and Awe and Wonder. It also reminds us of the Seven Sacraments, Baptism, Reconciliation, Holy Communion, Confirmation, Matrimony, Holy Orders, and Anointing of the Sick. All these gifts help us throughout our lives from birth until we die.
Prayer
Dear God, today is the last day of the year so we thank you and think about all our personal blessings we received this year as well as all the challenges we faced. Thank you for being always with us. Amen
