We read

Matthew 13, 47-50

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

We pray

Dear God, many different fish were caught in the fisherman’s net, help me to understand those people who are different to me, I pray for other children who live in different countries and do not have enough food to eat or a house to live in. Amen

We live

All kinds of fish were caught in the net. Not everyone is the same. We are all different. If we think about it, we may realise that we may be even luckier than some. We have a home where to live, people who love us, we can go to school and learn new things, we have clothes to keep us warm and food and drink to be healthy. Others may not be so lucky.

Today we give money to charity.
